Many posts on Eat Raw Vegan are about health. A vegan diet based on organic whole plant foods (whether cooked or raw) offer many health benefits beyond the obvious ones afforded to the animals that are no longer murdered simply to satisfy my taste buds. They say a picture is worth a thousand words:
The photo on the left was taken around 1998 when I was eating a diet that included products of suffering and death like dairy, eggs, and meats. The photo on the right is of me about a year ago just as I was starting to undertake a raw vegan diet from a mostly cooked vegan diet. The difference between the two photos are obvious. I’ve lost about 135lbs since the photo on the left was taken. I originally lost a good portion of the weight by starving myself (I was still eating animal products at the time). When I started eating a cooked vegan diet for ethical reasons, I easily lost additional weight. Now on a raw vegan diet, I no longer have to do without to maintain a healthy body weight. I essentially have a “SEE FOOD DIET” — as long as that food is organic raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. No more struggling with my body weight — I now have the best body I’ve ever had in my entire life And with the energy I have from eating an almost entirely raw vegan diet, I’m more inclined to do exercise than any other time in my life — so my body will only get better!
